Nice old restoration area and rare items.
Had a few red rattlers in storage needing rework, U Boats silver passenger trailers, a few country passenger carriages from mid 40-60s in various states of long term repair and best of all 4 nice big sexy style curvy front 43? class 1940-50s class diesels locos housed in a 1918 shed... what more could you ask for? ....well them to operate and make money
There was also a 1891 steam engine!!! complete!!!.. wow stunning... and a crane used on harbour bridge?
Massive repair shop rare also.
The turnbay circle was interesting to see also.
It was lucky i got a tour as the place was closed but the nice guy there - Mr G - let me and i was more then gratefully to his time and help showing me around considering it was closed in all respect but i said i was from sydney and loved trains so it was a help
I recommend people go down and visit it, takes 2hr from sydney and cost $4.00 a adult but worth a look at stuff you dont get to see much off.i make sure you know where in town as took me 15mins to find it with asking many people.. best to ask the railways staff if lost at the station.
Also damn vandals were there recently at the museums i saw.. ruining the place.. but they have stepped up security i was glad to hear - they will arrest the f**kwits next time i heard and charge them.
